Build Africa
Schools’ Pack (Direct Mail)

Client: Build Africa
Date: September 2008

To design a schools’ pack to educate young people regarding life in East Africa, creating a tangible link between UK and African
schools and engaging schools in fundraising for Build Africa.

Build Africa asked me to design a school pack consisting of several elements including a letter and poster with fundraising tools, games, case studies and educational information. It would be focused around Build Africa’s ‘Build a School’ campaign aimed at generating money to sponsor or build a school in Uganda. ‘The School Tie Project’ provided a strong visual identity and fun
conceptual base to link UK and African schools and engage teachers and pupils of all ages in fundraising to help improve the quality of education in Africa.

“Working with James was great. This was the first direct marketing campaign I worked on and he really helped me through the whole process. The pack looked fantastic and I received so much positive feedback that we have continued to work with him on other campaigns.”
